City & Country has submitted two Outline planning applications to Uttlesford District Council for a new community on the ‘land west of Birchanger Lane, Birchanger’ and ‘land south west of Mountfitchet High School, Stansted’. The proposals include:
- 480 new homes, including 240 affordable homes.
- Approximately 100 acres of enhanced landscape, with land safeguarding through a new habitat land bank.
- 16km of footpaths and cycleways for community use.
- Improvements to local roads and pedestrian crossings.
- Greater than 20% Biodiversity Net Gain.
